Mark Vassella served as the Managing Director and CEO of BlueScope, an Australia-based steel company, for eight years. He joined BlueScope following its 2007 acquisition of Smorgon Steel Distribution, where he was the chief executive. During his tenure at BlueScope, he held various leadership roles including chief executive of Australian Distribution and Solutions, President of BlueScope Steel North America, and chief executive of BlueScope Australia and New Zealand. He is set to retire from his current role on February 1, 2026.
