Mathios Rigas is the CEO of Energean, an independent exploration and production company focused on the Mediterranean. He co-founded Energean in 2000, acquiring the Prinos offshore field in Greece. The company grew from a £1 million acquisition to a £1 billion company in 10 years, becoming the third-largest FTSE 250 E&P company. Prior to founding Energean, Rigas spent over 18 years in investment banking, predominantly in the oil and gas sector, including a role as Vice President of Shipping, Energy & Project Finance at Chase Manhattan Bank in London.
