Michael Schmidt, PhD, was most recently the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) at Ankyra Therapeutics, a company focused on a novel intratumoral drug retention platform and the development of a differentiated IL-12 cytokine therapy. He previously held leadership roles at Eleven Biotherapeutics (now Carisma Therapeutics) and Compass Therapeutics, where he focused on the discovery and development of monoclonal and bispecific antibody drugs for immuno-oncology and ocular diseases. He received his PhD from MIT, specializing in engineering antibodies for improved solid tumor targeting. As of June 28, 2023, he joined Alloy Therapeutics as CSO.
