Ömür Tan earned his BA from Hacettepe University's Department of Statistics and an MBA from İstanbul Bilgi University. He began his banking career in 1995 as a management trainee at Yapı ve Kredi Bankası, later joining Finansbank in 1998, where he progressed through various roles before becoming General Manager (CEO) and a Member of the Board of Directors at QNB Finansbank.
