Utham Gowda is the founder and CEO of Captain Fresh, a global packaged seafood company. Founded in 2020, Captain Fresh operates a tech-led B2B supply chain platform for packaged seafood across India, the Middle East, Europe, and the US. The company recently raised a Rs 120 crore (approximately $13.3 million) equity round led by Gowda, following a Rs 290 crore sustainability-linked financing from Blue Earth Capital. Captain Fresh had previously secured Rs 250 crore in pre-IPO funding from investors including Prosus Ventures, Accel, and Tiger Global.
