She previously served as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from 2021 to 2023, and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2015 to 2020. Kleiman joined Essex in 2009 to manage the Private Equity platform, growing it from $750 million to $3 billion in gross assets. Her prior career focused on institutional investment management and investment banking at Security Capital and J.P. Morgan Real Estate & Lodging Investment Banking Group.
