Jack Cheng, co-founder of Chinese EV start-up Nio Inc, was appointed as head of MIH, Foxconn's open software and hardware platform for developing EVs, in January 2021. He is an auto industry veteran with over four decades of experience at companies such as Ford Motor Company and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV. Cheng left Nio in 2019 and worked for XPT, which develops core components for Nio, before joining Foxconn.
