Su Zhu co-founded the cryptocurrency hedge fund Three Arrows Capital (3AC) with Kyle Davies in 2012. Headquartered in Singapore, 3AC was a significant player in the crypto hedge fund space, borrowing billions of dollars to fund its trading activities. The company shifted its focus to cryptocurrencies around 2017 after previously engaging in emerging-market foreign-exchange derivatives arbitration. 3AC faced liquidation in June 2022 and subsequently filed for bankruptcy, with its collapse contributing to the downfall of several other crypto companies.
