Thomas Meier is the founder of Santhera Pharmaceuticals. He served on the company's Executive Management as Chief Scientific Officer from 2004 and as Chief Executive Officer from 2011. In 2017, he became a Member and Delegate of the Board of Directors, and as of the end of November 2019, he resigned from executive management to remain on the Board of Directors and act as Chairman of the Scientific Committee. He also established MyoContract in 2000, a research company focused on orphan neuromuscular diseases.
