Hein Kruyt is the Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer of Solynta, a Dutch seed company founded in 2007. Solynta specializes in hybrid potato breeding, aiming to improve food security by developing new resilient potato varieties through its hybrid breeding technology platform. The company secured a major growth funding round in January 2026, which included EW Group acquiring a majority stake. Previously, in July 2021, Solynta raised €21 million in Series C funding.
