Scott Nolan is a co-founder and CEO of General Matter, an American nuclear-fuel startup company founded in January 2024. The company aims to develop domestic uranium enrichment capabilities for low-enriched uranium (LEU) and high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU), focused on reducing U.S. dependence on foreign suppliers. Nolan was previously an employee of SpaceX, where he helped develop the Merlin engine systems and the Dragon capsule, and is a partner at Founders Fund. General Matter raised approximately US$50 million in a Series A funding round led by Founders Fund in April 2025.
