Stephen Rue has been appointed CEO of Optus, an Australian phone carrier owned by Singapore Telecommunications. Prior to this role, Rue served as the head of Australia's National Broadband Network (NBN) since 2018, where he was involved in rolling out its broadband network and expanding internet access. He previously held the position of finance chief at NBN.
