About Fred Soneya

Fred Soneya is the Co-Founder and General Partner of Haatch, a venture capital firm based in Stamford, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom, where he also serves on the board of several companies. His investment thesis focuses exclusively on B2B SaaS companies at the pre-seed and seed stages, prioritizing businesses that solve immediate, real-world problems rather than addressing future or perceived challenges. Haatch typically targets vertical SaaS opportunities and evaluates founders based on grit, determination, and a deep understanding of their market and revenue-driven mindset. While specific check sizes are not publicly detailed, Soneya acts as an investor and board member at portfolio companies including Scurri, Deazy, Buymie, and Eleanor, often taking board roles rather than just following. Soneya also advises founders to use personalized outreach and create concise, aesthetically pleasing pitch decks designed to generate intrigue.
