Herry Han (also known as Han Yan) is a founding partner of Lightspeed China Partners, where he leads early-stage venture capital investments (Seed to Series B) in China’s mobile Internet, consumer upgrading, Internet+, and enterprise/deep tech sectors, including AI, autonomous vehicles, and semiconductors. His notable portfolio includes Full Truck Alliance, Xpeng Motors, FinVolution Group, Tujia, FangDD, and PPDai, many of which later IPO’d. At Lightspeed, he spearheaded first-round bets on standout companies and helped build a thesis focused on backing innovative Chinese entrepreneurs in core tech assets. He later founded Soul Capital, a dual-currency (RMB-only) fund targeting AI, robotics, new energy, and new transportation, with a goal of being the first institutional investor in top Chinese startups.
