Jean-Philippe Tripet, CFA, is the founder and Managing Partner of Aravis Ventures, a Swiss private equity and venture capital house based in Zürich that he established in 2001 after serving as a senior executive at Lombard Odier and UBS. His investment thesis targets high-tech growth companies primarily in biotechnology, energy, creative and digital, and industrial high-tech sectors across Western Europe, with a historical focus on seeding and founding Swiss biotech firms. Tripet frequently acts as a lead investor, having supervised over 100 private company investments in the USA, Europe, and Asia, often moving companies from loss-making at investment to profitable at exit within a five-year horizon.
