Bill Lundberg is the CEO of Merus. Previously, he was the Chief Scientific Officer and the first US-based employee at CRISPR Therapeutics, a company that develops cell therapies based on CRISPR gene editing. CRISPR Therapeutics raised $25 million in Series A financing from Versant Ventures in April 2014, and an additional $29 million in Series B financing from investors including Vertex, SR One, Celgene, and Bayer.
