Michael H. Carrel is the President and Chief Executive Officer of AtriCure, a company focused on treating atrial fibrillation, left atrial appendage management, and pain management. Under his leadership since November 2012, AtriCure's revenue grew from $82 million in 2013 to $399 million in 2023, and its market capitalization increased from $115 million to approximately $1.7 billion. Before AtriCure, he was CEO of Vital Images, Inc. and Zamba Corporation, and CFO of NextNet Wireless, Inc., all of which had successful acquisition exits. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School.
