Babak Gharbi is the CEO of Oparo, a private equity firm that uses real estate and computer technology (REACT). Oparo leverages big data and machine learning to identify financially stressed and distressed real estate assets and regions in the UK. Prior to his role at Oparo, Gharbi served as a managing director at both HSBC and CitiGroup. Oparo has completed its inaugural raise, securing £73 million in capital from six investment partners.
