Roberto Alvo is the Chief Executive Officer of LATAM Airlines Group. He was recognized in the Executive Leadership: Latin America & Caribbean category at the 2026 Airline Strategy Awards for his leadership in steering LATAM Airlines Group through a financial restructuring to profitability. The airline has shown impressive financial performance since emerging from US Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in November 2022, increasing operating profits by 41% to $2.36 billion in 2025. LATAM Airlines is the largest operator in Latin America, accounting for roughly a third of all capacity in the region and 42% of international traffic.
