Colin Hunt is the CEO of Allied Irish Banks (AIB), a financial services group. He was appointed CEO and executive director in March 2019, having joined AIB in 2016 as the managing director of wholesale, institutional, and corporate banking. Hunt has a background in financial services, economics, and public policy, including roles at Macquarie Capital, Goodbody Stockbrokers, and Bank of Ireland Group Treasury. He holds a PhD in economics from Trinity College Dublin.
