Farzam Ehsani is the CEO and co-founder of VALR, a cryptocurrency exchange based in South Africa. The company allows users to buy, sell, and store Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, processing over $7.5 billion in trading volume since its 2019 launch. VALR raised $50 million in a Series B round in March 2022, led by Pantera Capital, bringing its valuation to $240 million. Previously, it secured $3.4 million in a Series A round in July 2020.
