Richard Hyde is the Founder, CEO, and Executive Chairman of West African Resources, a company he started in 2006. He is a geologist with over 30 years of experience in the mining industry, including 25 years in West Africa. He led the company from its IPO in 2010 to the development of the Sanbrado Gold Production Centre in 2020 and the Kiaka Gold Production Centre, expected to begin production in 2025. He was instrumental in securing US$200 million in debt and equity financing for Sanbrado, and a US$265 million debt facility and A$150m equity capital raising for Kiaka.
