How cannabis and CBD startups present the solution in a pitch deck: answer each part of the problem, show the product or space, and say who uses it.
Cannabis Startup Solution Slide: Real Pitch Deck Examples
Eight solution slides from cannabis and CBD startups (drinks, edibles, grow space, CBD products, software and data), shown in full, compare whether each slide answers the problem, shows the product, and names who uses it.
TL;DR
A cannabis solution slide should answer the problem the deck just described, point by point, and show the product. Cann does this: its problem slide quoted new consumers saying "Too strong!" and "I'm too scared"; its solution slide answers with "Dose it right" ("Create a gradual and controllable build"), "Make it drinkable" ("Appeals to non-smokers") and "Elevate the brand", adding up to a "Social beverage". Alaf describes the space exactly: "3,000-5,000 sq. ft. 'PRO-16 PODS'" for "licensed California Medical Marijuana Corporations." Team Maryjane's single sentence, "An all inclusive marketing platform", shows nothing and is the weaker pattern.
Cannabis solution slides from real pitch decks
Each example shows the exact stored slide above its analysis and links to the full teardown. Claims are as shown on the slides; we have not verified them.
Cann solution slide — slide 5
Low-dose cannabis drinks. Three parts adding up to one idea.
Cann deck, slide 5. Exact stored slide matched to this analysis.
Our analysis: The strongest example here: each part answers a quote from the problem slide.
Evidence and limitation: Product design choices; no figures.
What a founder can adapt: Write one solution part for each problem you named.
Supporting analysis
What the deck claims: "The solution – a beverage you can share." "Dose it right": "Universal pain point fear of taking too much", "Create a gradual and controllable build", "Have more than one (or two)". "Make it drinkable": "Appeals to non-smokers", "Quick sublingual onset", "Use heuristics from alcohol". "Elevate the brand": "Trustworthy THC and CBD", "High quality, all natural ingredients", "Says something about me". = "Social beverage: Thousands of years of human history spent socializing over beverages."
Presentation choice: "Have more than one (or two)" answers "Too strong!"; "Says something about me" answers "I'm not a stoner."
When it does not fit: Add the dose per can; "dose it right" needs a number.
Grow-space development in California. Four paragraphs.
Alaf deck, slide 4. Exact stored slide matched to this analysis.
Our analysis: It answers its problem slide directly: operators needed space and couldn't build it, so Alaf builds and rents it.
Evidence and limitation: Sizes and features; no price or occupancy.
What a founder can adapt: Say what the customer no longer has to do themselves.
Supporting analysis
What the deck claims: "Solution: ALAF Corp / PRO-16 Pods." "ALAF Corp. acquires, sub-divides, renovates and manages strategically selected 10,000-50,000 sq. ft. commercial properties within the State of California. All ALAF buildings are sub-divided into 3,000-5,000 sq. ft. 'PRO-16 PODS' available for rent to properly organized and licensed California Medical Marijuana Corporations." Buildings are "perimeter secure, licensed and permitted, high power (complete with rooftop solar farms), properly irrigated, off-site video monitored and staffed 24 hours a day..."
Presentation choice: Pod size and "licensed and permitted" answer the $300,000–$500,000 build cost.
When it does not fit: Add the monthly rent to compare with the build cost; add a photo.
Tested CBD products. A founder note over a product line-up.
B Great deck, slide 5. Exact stored slide matched to this analysis.
Our analysis: It shows the products and ties them to trust, the problem the deck named.
Evidence and limitation: Product photos; no test figures.
What a founder can adapt: Show what the customer sees that proves it: a test certificate or QR code.
Supporting analysis
What the deck claims: "Our solution." "I started B GREAT because I had heard that CBD has wonderful therapeutic benefits, but like many people, I didn't know which products to choose from. My goal at B GREAT is to provide consumers with superior quality hemp-based products. With thorough transparent records and documentation, consumers know exactly what they're getting: only the best." Signed "Barbara Goodstein, Founder". Photos of hemp oil, capsules, balm, lotion.
Presentation choice: A founder's own story makes "safe to use" personal.
When it does not fit: "Only the best" without saying how it's tested.
Operations and compliance software. Four features beside a scanner and laptop.
Canix deck, slide 3. Exact stored slide matched to this analysis.
Our analysis: Each feature answers one icon from its problem slide (manual, compliance, data, projection).
Evidence and limitation: Product images; no figures.
What a founder can adapt: Keep the same four-part order as the problem slide.
Supporting analysis
What the deck claims: "Solution: Canix provides a cannabis-focused ERP that solves the unique problems of cannabis companies." "Track Inventory", "Manage Sales", "Automate Compliance", "Forecast Yield".
Presentation choice: The handheld scanner shows where the work happens.
When it does not fit: Add one result, such as hours saved on compliance.
Wholesale ordering app. Paragraph beside a screen.
Go-Go Cannabiz deck, slide 3. Exact stored slide matched to this analysis.
Our analysis: Three jobs (promote, transact, report) match the three problems on the slide before.
Evidence and limitation: Screenshot; no figures.
What a founder can adapt: Show the screen that replaces the email and phone orders.
Supporting analysis
What the deck claims: "Our solution." "The GO GO CANNABIZ app, available in desktop, iOS and Android provides cannabis companies and the businesses that support them with a solution to promote their brand, transact business and aggregate data for regulatory reporting in a verified online marketplace platform."
Presentation choice: The screenshot shows a real product catalogue.
When it does not fit: One long sentence; split into three lines.
Fast-acting cannabis edibles. Three promises beside a lifestyle photo.
1906 deck, slide 5. Exact stored slide matched to this analysis.
Our analysis: Clear promises, but "record time" and "specific effects" need numbers and the product isn't shown.
Evidence and limitation: No figures.
What a founder can adapt: Give the onset time in minutes and show the product.
Supporting analysis
What the deck claims: "Solving the problem with edibles opens up a whole new world." "Our company is pioneering ways to deliver NON-SMOKABLE controlled doses of cannabis and plant medicines in safe, discreet and user-friendly formats that enable cannabis to become a wellness tool and a performance-enhancing 'supplement.'" "1 Products that taste great", "2 Deliver specific effects", "3 Activate in record time".
Presentation choice: "Non-smokable controlled doses" is the same answer Cann gives, in one line.
When it does not fit: A lifestyle photo in place of the product.
Pistil Data deck, slide 4. Exact stored slide matched to this analysis.
Our analysis: Partial: it shows how much data, but not who uses the insights or one example of an insight.
Evidence and limitation: Team size and data volume.
What a founder can adapt: Show one insight a brand or dispensary acted on.
Supporting analysis
What the deck claims: "Pistil Solution: Cannabis market intelligence." "Pistil applies cutting-edge computational models to large volumes of publicly-available cannabis data." "Two Years of IP: Our team of 15 engineers and data scientists..." "1B+ Data Points Every Day" from "eCommerce menus and public APIs". "High-value insights... actionable business opportunities."
Presentation choice: Kept to show that inputs (data points) aren't the same as what the customer gets.
When it does not fit: Leading with volume instead of use.
Team Maryjane deck, slide 4. Exact stored slide matched to this analysis.
Our analysis: Weak on purpose: it names the customer but not one thing the product does.
Evidence and limitation: No product shown; no figures.
What a founder can adapt: Name the elements (website, ads, compliance review) and show one.
Supporting analysis
What the deck claims: "Solution." "An all inclusive marketing platform developed and built just for dispensaries." "Using proprietary software, Dispensary In A Box designs, provides and manages all the critical elements for successful dispensary marketing."
Presentation choice: Kept as a contrast; compare Canix, which names four jobs and shows the tool.
When it does not fit: "All-inclusive" and "critical elements" without examples.

Key Takeaways
Answer each part of your problem slide, in the same order.
Show the product: the can, the bottle, the screen, the building.
Name who uses it: new consumers, licensed growers, dispensaries.
Give specifics: pod size, onset time, data points per day.
"All-inclusive platform" without a picture says nothing.
Build your cannabis solution slide
Answer the problem, show it, name the user.
Problem parts. List each problem from your previous slide.
Answers. One solution line per problem, in the same order.
Show. Product photo, screen or building.
Specific. One number: dose, onset minutes, pod size, hours saved.
Copyable framework: For [customer], [product] [answer 1], [answer 2] and [answer 3]. [Specific].
Illustrative example 1 — written by us
Before: An all inclusive marketing platform built just for dispensaries.
After: For dispensaries: a website, a weekly menu email and compliance-checked ads, set up in 10 days. (Screenshot of a client site.)
What improved: Our illustrative rewrite; the 10-day figure is invented for the example. It names the parts, a time and shows one.
What this guide adds
This is the companion to the cannabis problem slide guide. Six of its eight decks appear there too (Cann, Alaf, B Great, Canix, Go-Go Cannabiz, Team Maryjane), so you can read each company's problem and solution side by side. 1906 and Pistil Data are new to the library.
Three things a cannabis solution slide proves
It fits the problem: Cann's "Dose it right" answers "Too strong!"; B Great's "transparent records and documentation" answers "no one knows whether they are safe."
It is real: product photos (B Great), screens (Canix, Go-Go Cannabiz), exact building specs (Alaf).
Who uses it: "licensed California Medical Marijuana Corporations" (Alaf), "cannabis companies and the businesses that support them" (Go-Go Cannabiz).
Common mistakes
Not answering the problem. Match each solution line to a problem.
Lifestyle photo instead of product. Show the can, bottle or screen.
Data volume as the benefit. Say what the customer does with it.
"All-inclusive platform". Name the parts.
Unmeasured promises. "Record time" needs minutes.
Diagnostic checklist
Each line answers a problem from the slide before.
The product is shown.
It names who uses it.
It gives one specific number.
No vague "all-inclusive" claims.
Frequently asked questions
How we chose these examples
Corpus: published pitch deck teardowns on StartupFundraising.com. Founder-uploaded private decks are excluded.
Selection (2026-09-25): we searched slides 3–6 of the cannabis problem guide's decks and other cannabis decks for solution slides. Scientus Pharma was left out because its solution sits inside its problem table (already in the problem guide); Clearing was left out as a pain-relief telehealth deck, not a cannabis company. Pistil Data is marked partial; Team Maryjane is kept as a weaker contrast.
Overlap check: none of these eight slides appears in another guide. Canix slide 5 appears in the testimonial guide; this guide uses Canix slide 3.
Review: all eight stored slide images were inspected on 2026-09-25 and matched to company, deck and slide number (editorial model review). No person has yet completed an editorial review of this page.
Claims are as shown on the slides; we have not verified them. We make no claim that any slide caused a fundraising outcome. Cannabis laws vary by jurisdiction; nothing here is legal advice.
